Her Legacy, 2023

Exhibited and curated together in collaboration with Sarina Böhler, Belén Comotto, Fiona Nhieu, Yara Noëmie and Quentin Yorke as an exhibition within an exhibition “Narrative Agency Making: Our–shared stories” at “Räume im Raum” [Rooms in a Room], Padel Basel for the bachelor exhibition of Lab HyperWerk, IXDM HGK FHNW.

Influenced by Lebohang Kganye’s “Ke Lefa Laka: Her-story”, Azura explores the relationship to the line of women in her family. “Her Legacy” combines family archive photographs made by her stepmother, Catherine Walthard, over the last 20 years and photographs Azura made and archived from 2022-2023 during a field study that aimed to bring both archives in conversation
with one another.
