In times of global capitalist crisis, war and environmental destruction, politics remains at the center of decision-making.
These decisions shape our collective future, not only for humans
but for all forms of life. Our political perspectives must evolve to embrace otherness, recognising that there is much more to this world than humanity alone.
This exhibition brings together the stories of four rivers: the Whanganui river in New Zealand, the Atrato river in Colombia, the Cahabón river in Guatemala and the Rhine river in Switzerland. Flowing through different territories and histories, these rivers have become part of our communities and shared imaginaries.
Four Rivers calls for a political shift toward an interspecies future, one that perceives rivers and ecosystems as living beings and respects them accordingly.
